I love to laugh!!! Maybe I'm too easily entertained, but there is quite a lot that makes me laugh. #1 is Troy. He is ALWAYS making me feel silly, which I love and wouldn't have any other way.

I also like to try my hand at creativity and spend time decorating, scrapbooking, writing or working on a fun project. My true love though (besides Troy of course) is baking and cooking. I love to be in the kitchen and whip up something delicious, especially if it's being shared with friends.

I really, really enjoy being physically active. I've been an athlete my whole life (started gymnastics when I was three), and I love to do just about anything that gets the blood pumping! We go kayaking every Saturday we have free, and I just love the way it makes me feel... the feeling of the sun on my skin, the cool of the water, and feeling my muscles work as I paddle.

Then there's my more serious side. As much as I enjoy entertaining and being entertained, I also cherish sitting down with a good book in a peaceful place. I can sit for hours and devour a beautiful piece of literature. I also love to learn, especially by opening up the scriptures and learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a missionary in New York I gained a true love for the scriptures, and how they bless my life. I'm also very grateful for parents who taught me to love and to rely on the Lord.

One of the most important lessons I've learned so far in life is that sometimes God's plan is a little different than ours. So rather than getting upset that things aren't going our way, I've learned that it's a good idea to stop and ask The Lord to help us understand and accept His plan.
Childhood Memories:
I remember waking up to the sound of my parents laughing on numerous occasions. I would know Mom was getting tickled or teased by Dad. Pretty soon all the kids would be on Mom and Dad’s bed having a tickle war / pillow fight!

As kids, my siblings and I had so much fun together! A favorite thing to do together was to go skateboarding or roller skating. We built ramps to skate off of and do jumps and tricks. We also spent a lot of our free time playing tether ball together or with our friends since our dad was sweet enough to build a tether ball pole into the patio.

We all loved goofing off together. My sisters and I had so much fun playing dress up and prancing around the house together, and I loved to wrestle with my big brother. Sometimes he would make me think I beat him. So sweet. He's twelve years older than me so I understand now he was pretending, but I thought I was SO strong to be able to pin him down! Then there were the times he'd pin me down and tickle me and make me laugh so hard!

Some of my best memories are the from our fabulous California summers! We would spend almost everyday at the beach boogie boarding, building sandcastles, collecting shells, playing games, eating ice cream and having fun. When we weren't at the beach my mom was taking us to museums, parks, or doing crafts with us. At some point in the summer we'd all pile into our camper and drive across country (well, mostly just to Arizona, but it seemed like it was cross country!).

I also have great memories of working hard with my family. My mom is a quadraplegic (paralyzed from the chest down), so being in wheelchair meant that she couldn't do everything she wanted to. We learned from a young age how to work around the house and help out.  We learned how to clean, cook, do yard work, and we were always responsible for cleaning our own rooms.

I also learned that complaining won't get you very far. My mom is such an amazing example to me. Despite the fact that she's in a wheelchair, she never lets anything stop her. After her car accident she re-learned how to do everything. She can paint (her artwork is all over my parent's home), sew, sing, she also taught kindergarten until retiring just two years ago, and raised four children from a wheelchair. I've never heard her complain, or say something is too difficult, she always figures out a way. My father is so amazing! He's so devoted to my mom. They're like a couple of kids together. They are so in love, and so sweet together. I love them and am grateful they taught me while I was young, that even when life is hard you can still be happy and to never give up on your dreams or say, "I can't".

Troy's Thoughts on Becca:
Becca is the love of my life. She is so fun loving. Just recently she chased me around the island of our kitchen. When I let her catch me, she gave me a big hug. She has the greatest capacity to love, probably of anyone I have ever met. This is her biggest strength. She is so friendly with others and sensitive to their difficulties and challenges. Caring for others, especially children, comes easily for her and she is always in the mood to help someone else out.

From nearly the day we met, Becca has been spoiling me with good cooking and always makes sure I am eating healthy. She does an amazing job of taking care of our home to keep it inviting and organized. When she puts her mind to something, nothing can stop her from completing it.
